Most Japanese medical device manufacturers sell through regional dealers rather than directly to overseas buyers, and many models are built for the Japanese market only. That is why finding a seller in Japan is usually slower than buyers expect. What we check before quoting

  • Japanese-market models may run on 100 V and have Japanese-only software or manuals. We confirm whether an export or multi-voltage version exists.
  • Many countries require the device to be registered with their regulator before import — for example a Health Canada medical device licence for Class II–IV devices. The importer is responsible for this, and we confirm the requirement with you up front.
  • Some destinations restrict or prohibit importing used or refurbished devices. We check this before sourcing any refurbished unit.
  • Whether the manufacturer will support service, calibration and spare parts outside Japan.
  • Battery, gas or radiation-related components that change how the item can be shipped.

How a sourcing request works

  1. Send your requirement

    Product, specification, quantity, destination and target date. A short message is fine to start.

  2. We confirm the fit

    Within one to two business days we tell you whether we can pursue it, and what else we need.

  3. Supplier search and quotation

    We contact suppliers in Japanese and return a quotation with product, Japanese costs and freight shown separately. Typically one to three weeks.

  4. Order, inspection and shipping

    Payment and delivery terms are agreed in writing first. We then order, check the goods, prepare export documents and ship.

How do I find a medical equipment distributor in Japan?
Japanese medical devices are mostly sold through regional dealers, and few of them sell abroad. Searching in English rarely reaches them. Send us the device you need and we will contact manufacturers and dealers in Japanese, confirm who can supply it for export, and introduce a quotation.
